Energy Saving

Energy Conscious and Energy Saving Products

Whenever Zenith supply or install any of our home improvement products we recognise that it has an impact upon the environment in many ways.

From the sourcing of our recyclable uPVC window frames to the new Zenith EcoTherm™, the EcoBright low iron and low-emissivity glass we use, to “Super Spacer®”; Zenith ensure that good environmental practices are fully integrated all through our company.

Zenith has spent years working with its suppliers, wherever possible, in order to reduce any adverse environmental consequences associated with the goods supplied, the methods of installation and the disposal of any off-cuts and packaging.

This is an on-going policy and we continue to train and encourage all members of our team to fulfil their individual environmental responsibilities and to be aware of our individual and collective green footprint.

So where does all that energy and heat disappear to?

In many houses it simply permeates through the fabric of the home, the main areas being, windows, roof, walls and floor.

According to energy conservation sources, in an un-insulated house between 18%-25% of energy is lost through the windows.

To help you make the best choices in energy saving windows the BFRC (British Fenestration Ratings Council) introduced a scheme designed to demonstrate and measure the energy efficiency of different windows. Every tested window type is given a rating between A to G (worst rating).

Investment in good quality double glazing/replacement windows can dramatically reduce the energy loss and reduce the average household heating bills – year on year.

Investment in Zenith EcoTherm™ ’A’ rated efficient installation is good for your environment and potential energy reduction without losing any of the style and panache that you expect from a leading supplier of quality home improvement products.
